Lexington Medical Center to Remain in BlueCross Preferred Blue® Network

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Lexington Medical Center (LMC) have agreed to a new contract that keeps LMC and its affiliated physicians in BlueCross’ Preferred Blue^® (PPO) network.There will be no breaks in service. Members may continue to seek care from LMC facilities and doctors at the in-network benefit level as set by their health plans.

BlueCross and LMC also agreed to work collaboratively to improve health care quality and patient outcomes while also reducing medical expenses.

We will notify our employer group leaders of this update later today via email and attach a copy of the member letter they can copy and distribute to their employees. We will also send an email to our members with individual plans, if we have their email addresses. All other individual plan members will receive letters via the U.S. Postal Service.
