What a difference a year makes!

Yesterday, CMS announced enrollment numbers, by state, for the 2015 open enrollment period through January 16,2015. According to these figures, South Carolina as of 1/16/2015, has enrolled 161,941 residents into Qualified Health Plans thru

the Federal Marketplace.  This is a substantial increase in enrollees versus the 2014 open enrollment period (which, we may add was MUCH longer!), and equates to a 107.96% higher enrollment than projected by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for 2015, as reported by ACAsignups.net.

Now for the bad news! As a result of these impressive enrollment numbers, most, if not all of our insurance carrier partners are “swamped”! We feel confident that things will improve with time, however, patience is helpful this time of the year. We are reaching out directly to insurance carriers to help our clients with any issues, and are confident most if not all issues will be corrected by the end of the month.
