United Healthcare: Roper St. Francis back in network!

Great news for our Unitedhealthcare customers in the Charleston metro area (and the entire South Carolina lowcountry)!

United Healthcare just announced that Roper St. Francis has renewed their In Network relationship with United. Details from the release:

Roper St. Francis has recently renewed its network relationship with UnitedHealthcare, giving people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare individual, employer-sponsored and Medicare Advantage plans continued in network access to both health systems. UnitedHealthcare and RSF agreed to make the new contract retroactive to March 1, 2015, ensuring UnitedHealthcare plan participants do not experience any interruption in their in-network benefits coverage for services received at Roper St. Francis facilities and with their RSF physicians.
“Roper St. Francis is a leading provider of health care services in the Charleston community, and this renewed network relationship lays the foundation for future collaboration on health issues that matter to our plan participants,” said Garland Scott, CEO, UnitedHealthcare of the Carolinas. “We are pleased that individuals and families in the Lowcountry will continue to have local access to critical health services.”
The healthcare system includes Roper Hospital on the Charleston peninsula, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital in Mount Pleasant.
